Anja Reimann

Anja Reimann is an Innovation Officer for the Chief Technology Office (CTO) of the City of Amsterdam and she leads and executes large multi-stakeholder and transdisciplinary projects such as AI4Cities, Scale up | Green pitches and Scale up | Visitor flows.
She has a Master of Business Engineering and has more than 8 years of international experience working in China, South Korea, Germany and the Netherlands. In an earlier role she was building up and heading the operations of a manufacturer in the plastics industry in South Korea. Thereafter she worked for a large international consulting firm advising multinationals in different areas such as strategy, transactions and tech due diligence.
In all those different roles in various countries she has always been the most interested in cultural difference and what makes us have a conflict or work together. Communication and making the effort to look at problems from the other persons view is key. In South Korea she learned to reflect on her German heritage and shift the focus from process to result. In the Netherlands being able to negotiate a compromise that works for all is an important skill to have. All those different paths have led her to her current role for the city of Amsterdam. Together with colleagues, entrepreneurs and citizens she aspires to develop the best solutions possible for the city.
