Rony Medaglia

Rony Medaglia is Professor with Special Responsibilities on Digitalization and the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the Copenhagen Business School, Department of Digitalization. His research focuses on digitalization in the public sector, from the perspectives of digital service provision, citizen engagement, and sustainability. His research is published in international journals such as Government Information Quarterly, the Journal of Information Technology, the Information Systems Journal, and the International Journal of Information Management, and he has received the Danish Society for Education and Business (DSEB) Education Award (2019) for his teaching of digitalization in the CBS Full-Time MBA programme.
Rony Medaglia currently serves as President of the Special Interest Group on e-Government of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and as Associate Editor of Government Information Quarterly, and has served in numerous international conference tracks in the Information Systems and e-government fields. He has led numerous bi-lateral research collaborations with universities in China, funded by the Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research (SDC) (2014-2019), and was the co-coordinator of the project “Advancing Blockchain Commerce for Danish Design (ABCD)”, funded by the Danish Industry Foundation (2019-2021). Rony Medaglia currently works as an expert in the European Commission’s AI WATCH initiative to monitor the development, uptake and impact of Artificial Intelligence for Europe.
